Load Cells from Strainstall
Our intelligent Load Cells deliver critical insights that facilitate effortless industrial lifting procedures and tensioning processes. We provide standard Load Cells that consist of Load Links ranging from 3.25te up to 120te and Load Shackles ranging between 8.5te to 120te. Designed with industrial use in mind, Strainstall’s wireless Load Cells offer advanced precision across a variety of applications.
For example, our Load Cells can easily be installed at the end of a pulley arrangement, for applications such as the dead-end of an overhead or cable crane. They can also be applied to:
- Tensioning of cables through to bollard pull tests
- Monitoring overhead lines
- Indicating tensioning across manufacturing
- Rigging processes
Load Links

Load Shackles
Load Shackles from Strainstall offer greater versatility. They are typically used to replace existing non-load monitoring shackles within a rigging arrangement. This offers a like-for-like replacement that also serves the function of determining load and tension. Our Load Shackles eliminate the need for additional rigging, providing a low-headroom Load Monitoring Option. We offer Load Shackles in capacities ranging from 8.5Te to 500Te. Additional sizes are available upon request.

Running Line Monitors (RLM)
Running Line Monitors from Strainstall are used to monitor and measure the tension and Load on a running line (10,,-48mm). RLM’s from Strainstall can be used for monitoring Winch, Towing and Mowing operations in real time.
In addition to monitoring Line Tension, RLMS can capture the line speed and payout in real-time. We offer retrofit options that allow operators to install this to an existing line without the need to dismantle the winch.

Smartload, Load Cell Software
Developed alongside a team of ISO accredited, multi-disciplined engineers, Strainstall has developed Smartload. An innovative monitoring software to provide users with total system control and flexibility.
Smartload software intelligently incorporates memory directly from the load cell itself. Combine multiple Load Cells with our advanced displays to create an efficient, wireless eco-system from a single display.
Key features of Smartload also include data logging, peak load monitoring, customisable alarms, and multiple units of measure. Available measurements range from Tonnes, Kips, Kilonewton, Pounds and US ton.
